This was gonna be her first dives after being certified. She was just a little apprehensive (thank you RESCUE DIVING training for teaching me the signs to look for) but very excited about diving; especially on the Sheridan. She had seen some video's and the last time we were there she wasn't a diver, so she was excited about actually seeing first hand. SKI and Ricki went in first and we took the boat sitting duties. We chatted about the dive and how we were gonna take it real slow. No hurries, No worries.

I was do a bit 0' photography to keep my skill set from fading. I had been studying the information from the Boynton Beach dude at SplashDown Divers and was excited about trying some of his teachings. We jumped in and headed for the buoy to give us a point of reference for our descent. Got half way down and headed in the general direction of the wreck. First the first few minutes she was a phutzing around a bit, but certainly a whole lot less than I had expected. By the time we hit the bow and had gone around the past the wheelHouse she was totally in the groove! It was amazing; kinda like a little switch went off and she (quote unQuote) got it. She was no longer phutzing around and such, but suddenly she was SCUBA diving. Gazing around the wreck and just taking in the whole experience. And most amazing of all her bouyancy was dead Nutz on. No chit. I had nowhere the control for months after I started diving. She's a freakin' natural. (insert tad of green jealously here) The VIZ was amazing for the Gulf at this time of year.

Cruised around the wreck and got some good shots. I got a good close up of a Cuda with his snout covered with funky critters (I've found out what they are, just can't remember right now...) and a shot that Gulf's version of the Famous Key Largo wreck USCGC Duane
