RANDOM THOUGHTS:
soup is the best. had to have two bowls of the pumpkin soup. with the reading i had done, the FIJIAN people are happy kind people. the REALLY are. of course the resort staff are nice (yes, they all learned my name) went with nancy down to the other village for sulu shopping. at the little stores next to the resort everybody was nice. you're not used to it. jos h& danw had bought a wood mask and a fellow wlaked up, shook our hands, asked where we came from & proudly stated that he had carved the mask. we were both kinda'yea sure' after but now a few days later, i don't doubt it a bit. on the walk to the water every car that we passed had waving smiling folks, on the walk to the next village even the guys workign on the bridege were all smils and 'bulas' asked the shop lady for a a turgle print and she jumpe on the phone to the little store across the street and he took out dozens of shirts to show me and i was "that's OK, don't need to see them all" and he happily said "that's OK, that's how we know what we have" took a $2.00 taxi ride back to the resort. talked with Tomo the security guy and he just beamed on my compliments of their rich heritage and wonderful island.

- even 'ane' laughed & dave's cocounut killing joke
- little bit-0 excitement on josh/dawn wes/staci night dive. wes didn't quite make it to australia!
- if you don't like the weather on FIJI, just wait a day: beautiful yesterda, cloudy & windy today.
- the light rain last night was gorgeous through the lighted palms
- warm southerly breeze is wild.
- NO - i haven't seen the water drain the wrong way. tired, but went straight down!
- room gets rearranged every time i go in it.

Last Day
- relaxed and went to the international date line 180 deg meridian
- everbody wore sulu's for tonights festivities. it was totally awesome show the staff put on. i was really & truly touched when everybody was getting there 'prom' pictures under the tiki torch and was about to have mine alone and staci, dawn and becky jumped in for the picture. my heart almost burst.
