Comments: oh boy. I don't know who's more excited; me or Gus. Poor Gus hasn't been diving since last June and it's been that long since I've been down in the keys. The last couple of dives have been low VIZ in the Gulf or even hurricane driven lower VIZ in West Palm! I'm dreaming of clear warm high VIZ.

Key Largo does not disappoint! Really wanted to go out w/Island Adventures, but Brian was all full up for most of the weekend so he suggested Quiescence. This is a great little shop that runs six pack boats. The captain has an itinerary, but asks for options. I talked them into going to the Civil War Wreck. This is my favourite dive in all of Key Largo. It's one of those wrecks that they don't take divers to it seams. I guess it's just too fragile to for lots of traffic and I'm glad they keep it that way.

The ride out was great and the weather is delightful. It IS November after all!. Dropped in and the VIZ was awesome. Schools of fish and the wreck in the distance. Simply awesome. Got some great shots of a very friendly Red Grouper.
