Comments: a freakin' feeding frenzy!!! EVERYBODY was getting dinner this evening. Charlie and his buddies were all over us as soon as we hit the water. The Needle fish were thick and Charlie was hitting them with glee. It was interesting to note that Tarpon flip over on their side when going in for the 'bite'. One guy up on shore said they did that so that they could see their target better. I'm guessing it's so that if the fish swims left or right, his mouth is WIDE open in either direction; I guess only Charlie knows for sure!

Lots of gorgeous sand anenomes on the way out.... which seemed to take forever; no wonder... we were going South instead of West! We got all turned around watching Charlie and his brothers... we kept kicking and kicking and we never got below 7'. Took a quick surface peak and got us going in the right direction. Saw a White Moray and sure enough, in a few moments it was out of it's hole and snagged dinner. A bit further down the reef there was a large Dog Snapper getting curious on the reef. Looking closer saw another White Moray being very active running around. The Dog Snapper kept tabs on wherever the White Moray went. I can only guess that the Dog Snapper was waiting for the White Moray to scare some dinner out of the reef and he'd be dining in style.

A Soapfish kept us company and it looked like he kept getting something deep in the crevices... I'm guessing crustaecians and such. A bit futher down the reef found TWO White Morays.... kinda looked like they were getting on each other's case but they never actually got 'into it'. Saw one of them snag a Damsel... yum yum.

Charlie as almost becoming a pest as he and his buddies kept zooming in and out - sometimes MORE than close....

On the way back (a 3 minute super fast drift!) found an octopus. How gorgeous - not your average brown muddy fellow, but vibrant blues and green and all sorts of colours inbetween! Kept sneaking in and out of a coral head and on one excursion saw him flare up and snag dinner as well. Staci tried to show me one of those super cute blood read shrimps, but I guess my HID was just too bright - she said whenever I shone my HID on it, it seemed to disappear. She had seen hundreds on the Andrea II night dive and I never saw a one... now I guess I know why.

Ben added a bit of excitement at the end of the dive by jumping in to welcome us 'home' - he's such a card!
